Smita is conceited and confident, but at the same time, she’s a sucker for romance and cute animals, essentially coexisting as compassionate yet conceited. She, however, harbors many prejudices; against branded individuals, laguz, peasants and beggars. Furthermore, under her shallow appearance belies a complex individual. She's in love with the Singhania estate and wealth, however, she almost despises her family and all the relationships they share. This causes her to always be on the edge with whomever she talks to and prefers to always be on the upper hand.

Smita is the daughter of a rich politician. She loves parties, political events, and people. Be on her good side, and you’ll get the most lavish gifts for holidays. However make her mad, and don’t be surprised to find your house ransacked while you were in it. She practices archery and fencing, but prefers the former to the latter.

Smita grew up with her two brothers--Indraneil and Daksh. Like them, she was spoiled and pampered. However, once she reached her adolescent years, her mother seemed to undergo an attitude change--everything became about the family's politics and the family reputation. Due to this oppression she received at home, and the increasing distance with her brothers, Smita often considers herself an only child and refuses to even admit the relationship between herself and Tia.
